About Kalista
Kalista Anubis (born December 2, 1992) is a singer, musician, inventor, entrepreneur and real estate investor from southeastern Colorado. Born in Raton, New Mexico, she grew up with music in her hands, first on the violin and later the bass guitar. She has always loved writing, especially children's books, and early encouragement from teachers and family convinced her that her stories belonged in print. She is the author of An Elephant in a Tree and Teach a Dog to Talk, and co-author of The Real What to Expect, all available on the Books page.
Kalista met Adam in 2015 in nursing school, where she was studying to become a nurse anesthetist and he was pursuing nuclear nursing. After leaving college, she found that a 9-to-5 couldn’t feed her creative side. Construction could, because it gave her the freedom to create with her hands. Together, Kalista and Adam began flipping houses and bringing smart homes to the Arkansas Valley, and they’ve since taken on commercial projects and run local small businesses. Through all of it, Kalista kept music alive, even when work and family had to come first.
Kalista's creativity reaches past the job site. She co-invented and patented Cookie Chips, a healthy snack still in development. In early 2026, she and Adam bought The Fellowship, a historic building in Las Animas, with plans to turn it into a nonprofit. For Kalista, it's about bringing her community together and giving families and friends a new place to connect and support one another. It's expected to open its doors in 2027.
In 2026, Kalista co-founded Anubis Lane Productions with Adam and Dan, who was the electrician on her construction crew. Music, writing and performing gave her a creative outlet she had never gotten to fully explore before. She co-writes, co-produces and co-edits Anubis Lane's music and videos, and shares that work on YouTube alongside the construction projects and everyday entrepreneur life. She's now co-writing, co-producing, co-editing and acting in Anubis Lane's first independent feature film, coming in 2027.
About Adam
Adam Anubis (born May 9, 1983) is an American director, writer, musician, producer, author and model, and a co-founder of Anubis Lane Productions with Kalista Anubis and Daniel Lane. He performs on and produces Anubis Lane tracks, and he directs, produces and co-writes the group's music videos, including Red Light Worship, Break You, 901 and Watch Me. He also appears on screen as one of the helicopter pilots in Red Light Worship.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, with family roots in New Jersey, Adam grew up in Berkeley, Richmond and Vallejo, California, and graduated from East Bernard High School in Texas. Rather than enrolling in college, he sat in on classes at many universities to learn on his own terms. It was in nursing classes that he met his future wife, Kalista. They married on July 22, 2021, and have two children, Achilles and Athena.
Growing up, he was fascinated by computers and games like Ultima, a curiosity about how systems work that later shaped his book The Clock Is Still Ticking. He started playing music at 12 and had his first band at 15, recording drums, bass and lead guitar. In his 20s he began modeling under Jeffry Chapman. He was one of the first three models photographed in Adidas jeans during the brand's trial run, and he has appeared in commercials in the U.S. and abroad. At 17 he placed second in a Texas bodybuilding competition.
Adam is driven by an excitement to build things with people, and that's how Anubis Lane began. Daniel Lane told Adam he had dreamed the two of them started making music together. Adam already had the equipment, and the three founders felt it was a calling. Today the company, based in Las Animas, Colorado, produces cinematic music videos, DIY how-to videos and books, and is developing two independent feature films. It is also restoring The Fellowship, a historic 1925 building in Las Animas, as a community space for education and wellness.
Beyond film and music, Adam is a hands-on builder. He pulls his own permits for electrical, plumbing and framing work, and he once ran a nine-man crew building homes in New York under APR Enterprises. He has built many houses from the ground up and painted his own cars. Coming from a family of electronics technicians on his father's side, he can also diagnose and repair circuit boards. Completed courses in anatomy and biology round out his drive to understand how everything works, from machines to the human body.
Adam also has a passion for law. He represents himself pro se in lawsuits against major companies and firms, and that experience is the basis for The Pro Se, a feature film he is currently writing.
Adam is the author of The Clock Is Still Ticking, Love Like They Dream Of and How I Would Have Faked the Artemis II Moon Mission!, a hypothetical look at efficiency, illusion and what real NASA tools could do. He co-wrote the parenting guide The Real What to Expect with Kalista. Together they also created Cookie Chips, a preservative-free snack made with a patented vacuum-chamber technique.

About Dan
Daniel Lane (born June 9, 1986) is an American actor, producer, director, writer, editor, stunt performer, and author, and a co-owner and principal partner of Anubis Lane Productions alongside Kalista Anubis and Adam Anubis. A Colorado native born in Colorado Springs, he has been building things, working with electricity, and making music since he was a kid.
In high school, long bus rides to sports events left him restless. He would rewrite the lyrics of full songs on the spot, turning them into stories about the people around him—almost always funny. Then he’d stand up in the middle of the bus and perform them, loud and proud. Some people laughed. Others got laughed at but all in good fun. That was the start of his songwriting, and the same playful spirit later showed up in tracks like “Wrong Hole Lil Homie.”
He met Adam and Kalista through a mutual acquaintance and began doing the electrical work on their remodel projects. The three of them got along so well that they started doing everything together. That partnership grew into Anubis Lane Productions, the independent company based in Las Animas, Colorado, where the three of them write, film, edit, direct, perform in, and produce their own music, cinematic music videos, books, and construction and DIY content.
In 2026, Lane worked on eight music videos. He starred as the lead in the military-themed “Break You,” performing all of his own stunts, including a demanding quicksand sequence filmed on location in Colorado, and he also produced and edited the project. He appeared as a helicopter pilot in “Red Light Worship,” filmed at the historic Bent County Courthouse in Las Animas, and played “The Stalker” in “Watch Me.” He wrote, produced, and appeared in the comedy “Wrong Hole Lil Homie,” wrote, edited, and appeared in “Big Bear,” produced and edited “901,” and produced “Freak” and “After Hours.”
Lane is the author of the book The Whispering Oaks, available on Amazon Kindle. He has two daughters, Lilly and Dahlia, who inspired the song “Flowers.” Anubis Lane Productions is currently developing its debut feature film, a sci-fi thriller.
